Thrive AI ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information.
We collect your name and email address when you create an account. Your productivity data (tasks, goals, schedules, workouts, lists, routines, and settings) is stored securely using Google Firebase. We implement appropriate measures to protect your data.
Your account information is used to provide the service, manage your subscription, and send important updates. Your productivity data is used solely to power the app's features and provide personalized recommendations.
Thrive uses OpenAI's API to power Thrivin, the in-app AI assistant. When you interact with Thrivin via text or voice, the following data is sent to OpenAI's servers to generate responses:
• Your message text (typed or transcribed from voice input)
• Your current task names, times, and durations (to provide context-aware scheduling)
• Your goal names and progress (to provide relevant goal tracking)
• Your linked tool names (workouts, lists, routines) for contextual responses
• Your first name (to personalize responses)
The following data is not sent to OpenAI:
• Your email address
• Your password or authentication credentials
• Your payment or subscription information
• Your precise location
• Your Focus Mode app selection or screen time data
OpenAI processes this data solely to generate responses and does not use it to train their AI models, in accordance with OpenAI's API data usage policy. We do not permanently store conversation content on our servers. Conversations are stored locally on your device and are automatically deleted after 14 days.
By using the AI assistant feature, you consent to your data being processed by OpenAI as described above. You can review OpenAI's privacy policy at openai.com/privacy.
When you use the schedule scanning feature, the image you provide is sent to OpenAI's Vision API to extract schedule information. The image is processed in real-time and is not stored by Thrive or OpenAI after processing.
Thrive uses Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time APIs to enable Focus Mode app blocking. All data from these APIs is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. We do not collect, view, or store information about which apps you use or your screen time data.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as feature usage frequency, session duration, and app performance metrics. This data is not linked to your personal identity and is used solely to improve the app.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with the following service providers who are essential to operating the app:
• Google Firebase — authentication, database, analytics, crash reporting
• OpenAI — AI assistant responses, as described above
• Apple — subscription management via StoreKit
Each of these providers maintains their own privacy policies and provides equal or greater data protection standards.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and at rest where applicable. Authentication is handled securely through Firebase Authentication.
• Account data (name, email) is retained until you delete your account
• Task and productivity data is retained until you delete your account
• Chat messages are stored locally on your device and automatically deleted after 14 days
• Focus Mode session history is stored locally on your device
• Feedback submissions are retained for product improvement purposes
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app's Settings. Upon deletion, all of your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
This service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
